Mildred becomes increasingly discontent in college. She is tired of being Starfinder's guinea pig all the time and the ongoing intrigues of Esther and Hobbes are also getting to her. When her tomcat Tabsy gets sick after an experiment by Starfinder, Esther and Hobbes, it becomes too much for her. She tries to open up to her friend Ben. But when Ben tells her how embarrassed he is about his mother's esoteric tendencies, she feels completely left alone with her much-vaunted talents. She packs her things and wants to leave college. But Esther and Hobbes lure her into another evil trap!
