A castaway on board! A bottle-mail had caused chief reporter Spilett (Phillipe Nicaud) and the young Harbert to sail to a neighboring island and rescue this man. In the long time of his loneliness he has forgotten the human condition. In the huge storm in which they are, even Pencroff believes himself in the midst of hell. Suddenly they discover a beacon, which shows them the way to the island. Then a pirate ship appears on the horizon.
