The Finotello brothers are real Venetian guys. Like most locals, they do not live in the city, but out in the lagoon on a small island. Claudio and Carlo are vegetable farmers. Twice a week they supply the Venetians with their products. The island of Sant' Erasmo is the largest of the lagoon and is considered the vegetable garden of Venice. The family Finotello had their home here for generations. In their vegetable garden, they grow specialties such as the little purple artichokes. Everything thrives, grows and matures on the fertile island, but despite the favorable conditions, the two brothers are the only young people who farm here. Everything has to be transported via the waterways. This is expensive. Nevertheless, they love their work and life on the field.
